Urging to shun egoistic politics, PML-Q President Shujaat Hussain on Friday said all political parties should be united in the country’s national interest.
Asked about the merger of various factions of the Pakistan Muslim League, Shujaat said, “A merger of different factions of the Pakistan Muslim League alone cannot resolve the crisis in the country. The situation needs unity at the national level and all political parties should shun egoist politics and forge unity in the national interest.”
To another question, Shujaat said some of his ‘dry-cleaned friends’ wanted to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) but PTI chief Imran Khan’s successful rally changed their minds and “now they are looking forward to joining the PTI”.
