Mercury drops!


Dry and cloudy weather prevailed in the provincial metropolis on Thursday whereas isolated rain and thunderstorm occurred in Sargodha, Quetta, Zhob, Makran Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday. According to the Met office, partly cloudy weather will prevail in Lahore on Friday, whereas there is no chance of rain in the coming few days in the provincial capital. Mercury has also dropped in Lahore as the minimum temperature recorded in Lahore on Thursday was 18 Celsius with the maximum being 26 Celsius.
Met office informed that isolated rain and thunderstorm may occur in Hazara, Malaknad, Makran Divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while weather likely to remain dry over rest of the country on Friday, adding that westerly wave moving across northern areas was likely to move further eastward today (Friday). Wednesday’s deep depression has weakened over central Arabian sea, moving North-Northeastward and likely to dissipate during next few hours over sea surface.
