Two ‘grave robbers aka bone traders’ arrested

Unidentified culprits have stolen 78 corpses from two separate graveyards. Twenty-six remains were stolen from the Ghulam Jokhio graveyard in Gadap Town alone. Police said the locals visited the graveyard to pay their respects to their loved ones, but discovered empty graves.
Separately, unidentified culprits dug over 50 graves in the Jhanday Shah graveyard near the Old Sabzi Mandi area and stole the remains. According to witnesses, children’s graves were the main target of the culprits. They said bones of children are used in drugs and for different types of activities. A witness said this has now turned into a business as bones of children are sold at high rates. Meanwhile, the Surjani Town police have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the sale of human bones. Police said Sachin and Chetan were involved in the trade of human bones, for which they stole corpses from graveyards. “The suspects have admitted to their crimes, and we are in the process of investigating this matter further,” said a police officer.
