Seven killed, several injured during Eid holidays

Seven people were killed and several wounded in separate incidents during Eidul Azha in different parts of Karachi.
According to details, following a domestic dispute in Lines Area, a relative of Noreen Sultan opened fire on the woman. She suffered a bullet to the head and died on the spot. Her body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
Separately, Gulfaraz Khan was killed at Abdullah Morr in Surjani Town by unidentified culprits. Police said the deceased was a rickshaw driver and he was targeted on his way back home from work.
In another incident, an alleged bandit, Manzoor Bangali, was attempting to break into a house in Mauripur when the watchman of the house, Rehman Pathan, intercepted him. Bangali shot Pathan and injured him. In retaliation, Pathan opened fire on Bangali and killed him on the spot. However, Pathan succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
In yet another incident, a clash broke out between two families in Bihar Colony. Both families used iron rods and stones to attack each other’s houses, following which one of the family members fetched a weapon from his house and opened fire on Ali Bakhsh, killing him on the spot. Bakhsh and three others, who were injured in the incident, were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).
Meanwhile, a man was tortured and killed in Keamari by unidentified culprits. Police said Irfan was kidnapped and brutally tortured, following which the kidnappers shot Irfan in the head and dumped his body on the main road. His body was shifted to the CHK.
Separately, a car collided with a motorcycle near Dunba Goth on the Super Highway. The motorcyclist, Faraz, died on the spot.
In another incident, two people were injured by the firing of police on the Native Jetty Bridge. Police intercepted two motorcyclists, but they attempted to escape, following which the law enforcers opened fire on them. The wounded were shifted to the JPMC.
HIDE COLLECTION: Unidentified assailants opened fire on a hide collection camp set up by the Jamaat-e-Islami in Block-6 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Four people were injured in the incident, whereas over 50 hides of sacrificial animals were stolen from the camp.
Similarly, unidentified assailants opened fire on the camp of the Sunni Tehreek (ST) and robbed them of several hides. Two ST activists suffered bullet injuries in the incident.
Meanwhile, a group of miscreants opened fire on a camp of an unidentified religious party set up at the Abul Hassan Ispahani Road and stole dozens of hides. Two people suffered injuries in the clash.
