Personnel of the Pakistan Rangers-Sindh were deployed in large numbers in different parts of Karachi during Eidul Azha to ensure peaceful performance of religious obligations during the occasion.
A statement issued on Wednesday said the paramilitary force also conducted targeted raids in different areas of the metropolitan.
The raids were carried out in Sector 14, North Nazimabad Town; Khadda Market, Mobile Market, Lyari Town; and Brohi Goth, Bin Qasim Town.
During snap-checking in those areas, some 32 suspects were detained, whereas eight weapons of different calibre were recovered with ammunition.
However, 11 of the suspects were released after initial interrogation, added the communication issued by the Rangers.
