Interior Minister Rehman Malik has expressed satisfaction on the overall law and order situation in Karachi.
Addressing the media after offering the Eidul Azha prayer at the Babul Islam mosque on Monday, Malik said, “Street crimes are a major concern all over the country, but the situation of law and order in Karachi is under control due to the efficiency of the police and Rangers.”
He said directives have been issued to the police and other law enforcement agencies to curb all criminal activities in the metropolitan.
Referring to collection of hides of sacrificial animals, he said the government has already issued directives in this regard and a code of conduct has been chalked out.
He also said no group or person would be allowed to collect the hides forcibly in the metropolis or elsewhere around the country.
