Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa said on Monday Pakistan People’s Party was the symbol of the Federation which had roots among people of all four provinces.Talking to mediapersons during his visit to the Fountain House, he said, PPP leadership was leading the country towards progress and prosperity. He said the country would soon obtain the landmark of self-autarky owing to PPP leadership’s prudent policies.Answering a question, Khosa said, Imran Khan could make dent to Nawaz-led Muslim League but he could not affect the popularity of Pakistan People’s Party. “Imran Khan’s party can not replace the Peoples Party,” Khosa added.The Governor said, despite tall claims by the Punjab Chief Minister, people of Southern Punjab were still undergoing rigorous lives. But, he said, the PPP government was making efforts to resolve their basic problems.
Commenting on PML-N recently held rally, the Governor said, rallies and public meetings were the halmark of democracy.
Earlier, the Governor met patients and exchanged Eid greetings with them.
