Nawaz makes a silent return for Eid

Amid confusion on whether to return after Eid or Muharram, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif, considered by his fans a real “lion” and “crowd-puller”, is back to home after his tour of Turkey and London, albeit quietly, to heal the political wounds his party suffered during his 14-day absence and undoubtedly to stir the political teacup ahead of senate elections.
He would celebrate Eid with his family at his residence in Raiwind. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif flew to Turkey on the invitation of the Turkish president and prime minister on October 21. During his seven-day stay in Turkey, he met Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Istanbul governor, top Turkish leadership and other high officials. Upon completion of his successful tour of Turkey, Nawaz left for London on October 28 for a medical checkup. PML-N Information Secretary Mushahidullah told Pakistan Today that Nawaz came back as per schedule.
