In a bid to address the problems faced by those who were allotted plots in the Sector-I/15, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) may start development work there. The development is the result of a decision taken by the authority to seek offers from three pre-qualified firms for the work.
“In order to provide civic facilities to the middle class resident of the sector, the city’s prime agency had decided to launch uplift project in Sector-I/15 in 2005 but there had been a long delay in the work ever since and it definitely disappointed,” said a CDA source privy to the matter. Seeking anonymity, he said that keeping in view the plight of the allotees, the authority finally decided to seek offers from three pre-qualified firms, interested to work in the sector. He said the CDA, however, earlier rejected the single tender for construction and development of 6000 flats and 5566 plots.
The CDA, he said, has decided to seek tenders from three firms to be short-listed for the development of the said sector. “The decision was taken in the CDA board’s meeting. However, the board recommended that the flats must comprise two bedrooms and one drawing room and to keep the price of one flat around Rs 3 million,” he added.
The authority has also fixed a 54 percent quota in Sector-I/15 for the general public, 20 percent for the 2005 quake-affected people of Islamabad, 10 percent for non commissioned officers of the Pakistan Army, 10 percent for the employees of the federal government from BPS-1 to BPS-15, five percent for CDA employees and one percent for journalists working in the twin cities.
It is relevant to mention that the delay in the development work in the sector has been aggravating the housing shortage in the capital city. Though CDA has launched some new societies including Park Enclave and others but the prices of plots in those societies were beyond the buying capacity of people from the low income groups.

CDA is such a corrupt institution that despite fleeting 6 years it can't even select a contractor to start the work??? What the heck are these officials doing? Are they justifying their salaries? If not then there are more competent people out there who will be willing to work on less salaries. CDA come on now, you've proved to be puppets of rich's and the land mafia. Stop exploiting low income groups and stop using their payments on other projects. Otherwise the only way would be to go to Supreme Court and get the justice besides punishment for the corrupts. US Dollar has gone to Rs.89 per dollar from Rs.56 back in 2005. Only this difference causes a great loss to people like me. What the heck is your planning and justification to a better housing in Islamabad? Wake up authorities.

why shouldnt we initate a law suite against CDA. If CA cannot complete this project how can it start other housing project for upper classes. lets all get united and start a law suite against CDA in the supreme court.

i think all flat holders should make a face book forum and unite against cda. There should must a civil suit against cda officials. they collected billion of rupees and eat a lot of intrest on the money of poor people. on this forum all of effectees should join each other and unite against cda. contact numbers and address should leave on it. supreme court ko az khud notice le lena chahye in khabees logon ke khlaf.

Charman CDA Ferkhanda Iqbal Director Sector I-15 ko hadayat ki ka wo mukhtalif packages baba ker development ka kam shart karay, or jun tuk contract da day.Zaray na bataya ka CDA na Roads, Water supply,dranage r sevrage etc ka saat packages bana ker open tender tulab kernay ka fasila kia ha. Sector ko 2 years main development kernay ki hikmat-e-ammli bani giy ha.
The CDA officials have to be informed that the delay is due to their inefficiency and the allotees should not be made to pay the extra cost. They have to take into account not only the simple profit on our payments but the compound interest ,which would justify the present cost of costuction.They should not be allowed to decrease the size of the flat or to increase the price.NAB and court can only restrict them..

I-15 apartments and Plots were a scam by then Government and CDA. They are still selling the property in Islamabad . We are planing a gathering in Rawalpindi Press club in June last week. Chief Justice of Pakistan must help the victims , stopping any property sale until Sector I-15 matter is stalled. We (Victims) will not take money back since the Rupee value is much down and our money was taken fraudulently. Only solution we accept will be an equal value plots at the rate of 2005 , (rates they have offered in 2005).

All effected allotees should get a stay order from Islamabad High Court against CDA for further development or launch any Secetor until they sort out I-15. They are going to start development work in Park Enclave only because all allotees are exective officials or rich peoples. It is the time to do some thing…

CDA is one of the Corrupt organization Of Pakistan. They took the money used it in return nothing. Instead of building the Fates in the same Price they are looting the money again from the people. Who was Stop them to building the and developing the Sector I -15 right time. It was their fault they should pay the Extra price. We should collectively go to court against the CDA. CDA will only start development work when all allottees shall get order from Supreme Court of Pakistan.All allottees must contribute a fund with a nominal amount for legal proceedings against CDA.
