Prices of vegetables are witnessing an upward trend in the twin-city of Islamabad and Rawalpindi markets for the last couple of days.
The rate list of different vegetables weekly bazaar and fruit markets issued by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Directorate of Municipal Administration on Friday showed that several vegetables’ prices are on rise as their rates had gone up considerably as compared to the last month’s rates.
A steep rise in prices of substantial number of vegetables during the last week in wholesale and retail markets of twin cities, has negative impact on the buying power of an overwhelming number of consumers pushing them beyond their buying capacity.
