Two ‘TTP militants’ killed in encounter

Two alleged militants affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in Manghopir during an exchange of fire with the law enforcers on Wednesday.
According to the police, the two suspects were killed and a police officer suffered injuries after a brief shootout during a raid on a house in Kanwari Colony, Manghopir. Weapons including hand grenades were recovered from the house.
The deceased were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi while the injured policeman was taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital, where he was stated to be in a critical condition.
A man was shot dead near the Lyari Hospital by unidentified attackers on a motorcycle. The body of the victim was shifted to the CHK for medico-legal formalities.
Another man was gunned down by unidentified assailants near the Chakar Hotel at Sohrab Goth. The deceased was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The identity of the murdered victim could not be ascertained. However, the police claimed the deceased may have been killed over a personal enmity.
