Pakistan win tri-series tournament

Pakistan has defeated Australia 4-3 to win the tri-series hockey tournament.
Tauseef, Imran, Shakeel Abbasi and Sohail Abbas scored one goal each for Pakistan.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated the team on winning the final.
The other team in the tournament was India who did not make to the finals.

unbelievable!!!!!!! A team who lost with the margin of 5 goals (8-3 in previous match) has now beaten ’em, WOW!!!!!!! How they managed to did that????? Marvellous effort I must say…….

Congratulations. It is a win which was needed to built teams morale and tempo to win.Victory can not be replaced by runner-up or any other ranking in the tournament.In this tri series where there were only 3 teams,pakistan drew with India 1-1 and 3-3,lost to Australia 3-1 and won in the final 4-3.Gutsy comeback in the tournament.This particular win a confidence builder for the team hopefully they can start on the right foot in the upcomoing Champions trophy tournament.after loosing the 9 sided tournament mizeraqbly the team has shown character to defeat one of the top team Australia in the current world ranking.According to recent world hockey rankings Pakistan stands # 9 and they have lost # 6 ranking in the world which PHF continues to claim.Hopefully the team will be # 1 in the Champions Trophy and Olympics.
