As 9,686 applicants are due to appear in interviews for the posts of junior clerks, office assistants, lab assistants and computer operators today (Thursday), it has been learnt that vacancies in the Education Department’s office in Karachi have already been filled.
According to well-placed sources, there are 103 vacancies for junior clerks, four assistants, 12 lab assistants and six computer operators.
A total of 4,280 candidates applied for the posts of clerks, 2,526 for assistants, 934 for lab assistants and 1,946 for computer operators.
”However, following the directives of Deputy District Officer (Education) Latif Mughal, the appointments have already been made and the selected candidates have been medically examined as well,” sources added. On Wednesday, candidates were interviewed for 200 empty posts of peon and naib qasid in the department, but these slots have already been filled in this case as well. “Tests and interviews are conducted only to deceive. Appointment letters have already been prepared for the selected people and would be handed over to them once the interviews finish,” the sources said.
