Technology-based training would help generate job opportunities for youngsters, a statement issued on Wednesday quoted Sindh Youth Affairs Minister Faisal Subzwari as saying.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a certificate-awarding ceremony of the Institute of Advancing Careers and Talents in Saudabad.
According to the statement, 151 youngsters were imparted training under the Inspiring Pakistan Youth to Reach Excellence through Counselling and Training (INSPYRE) programme, initiated by the Sindh Youth Affairs Department in collaboration with the Habib University Foundation and the British Council.
Speaking on the occasion, Subzwari said that the Sindh Youth Affairs Department is chalking out programmes for the betterment of youngsters in the province. “Through INSPYRE, training is being provided to youth to hone their abilities and help provide them with opportunities to make headway in their career,” he added.
Habib University Foundation Chief Executive Officer Wasif Rizvi said that this was the third batch, which successfully acquired training in courses under the INSPYRE programme.
Provincial Youth Affairs Director Khurshid Ali Shaikh said that those trained would be able to play an effective role in their practical lives.
Later, the minister awarded certificates to the successful participants of the training courses.
