Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahirul Islam has praised the services of the military contingent of People’s Liberation Army, China following the rains and floods in the province this year.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the corps commander, , during his visit to a the Chinese army hospital near Kunri on Tuesday, paid rich tributes to the medical staff including 16 doctors and over 30 nursing personnel, saying their services are the “talk of the town”.
Lt Gen Islam was briefed in detail about the services contributed by the Chinese mission.
The corps commander thanked the Chinese people and the government and the People’s Liberation Army on behalf of the Pakistani army, the government and the flood survivors for exemplary humanitarian services.
The Chinese group commander also thanked the corps commander and his troops for tremendous hospitality through out their stay in Sindh. The Chinese medical team handed over more than 40 tonnes medicines for the survivors.
It is worth mentoring that last year China donated a field medical hospital as well. General Officer Commanding Major General Anwar Ali Hyder and other senior military officers accompanied the corps commander during his visit.
