Pakistan Hindu Seva Welfare Trust, a nongovernmental organisation carrying out relief work, arranged a medical camp in a flood-hit, remote area of Thatta district.
Two male doctors and a female doctor with six paramedical staff and four volunteers conducted checkups and treated 224 patients including children and women and provided them with medicines.
“The medical camp was arranged in Bhudha Dinal village near Jati in which we provided medicine and also grocery item to the flood survivors,” said Pakistan Hindu Seva Welfare Trust President Sanjesh S Dhanja.
He said that most patients were suffering with skin diseases and also with abdominal diseases due to the contaminated water in these areas.
“A large number of flood survivors, especially children, elderly people and women, are suffering of malnutrition due to the shortage of food and we are afraid that they will suffer more in the upcoming winter season,” said Dhanja.

  1. Good on them. Good to know that there are Hindu NGO groups that are looking out for their Hindu brothers.
