Teenage strike bowler Mohammad Aamer pleaded guilty to involvement in a spot-fixing betting scam before the trial of his teammates, the court dealing with the case heard Tuesday.
Aamer pleaded guilty to conspiracy to cheat and conspiracy to accept corrupt payments at a pre-trial hearing on September 16.
The 19-year-old’s plea could not be reported during the trial of former Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt and fellow fast bowler Mohammad Asif, who were found guilty of the same charges at London’s Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday.
