Ten people, including two kids, were rescued here on Tuesday after being stranded in a chairlift for nine hours in the Thai area of Abbottabad.
Talking to private TV channel, Abbottabad DCO said that ten people were trapped in the chairlift in Thai due to a technical fault in the lift system. A rescue team from Murree was called in to rescue the stranded. The team undertook a three-hour long rescue mission after which it was able to rescue them.
He further said that the technical fault in the chairlift is being inquired and strict action would be taken against the perpetrators.
The residents said that the chairlift got stuck due to tangled wires. They further alleged that the rescue team did not have proper rescue equipments.
