Pakistan Today in collaboration with an event management company Xtreme Rafters organised a two-day cricket extravaganza to generate funds for flood victims.
With the support of ‘Help Pakistan’ the Inter College/University Tape Ball Cricket Tournament was held. This event was not just about cricket but an effort to educate young generation about healthy activities. The event took place at Model Town Whites Cricket Ground, Lahore. It was a day and night event and a total of 16 teams participated.
On Thursday at 11 am the tournament was inaugurated by chief guest Mr Saif Ur Rehman (Former Nazim Model Town). From then on, there was 48 hours of non stop cricket. The final was played between R11 and Adeel 11. In the end Adeel 11 won the event and received cash prize Rs 20,000. R11 were the runners-up and they received the cash prize Rs 10, 000.
Rao Akbar Latif (President K21 Club MT), Wadood Barry (CEO Barry Enterprises), Noor Ul Huda (former member WAPDA), Abdul Basit (CEO Big Bird Group of Companies), Affan Ali (HELP Pakistan), Shams Barry (Head Operations Manager B Theater Productions) and Irfan Ilyas (Partner at Ilyas Saeed & CO) were the honorable guests at the prize distribution ceremony. City FM 89, City Bread, Nurpur, Hubbard and Red Bull were the co-sponsors of the event.
