Student community and the nation in general are looking forward to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s October 30 rally to hear what PTI Chairman Imran Khan has in store for the nation’s future, especially how he plans to bridle the power of the youth, on whom his party is relying heavily in the upcoming general elections, Pakistan Today learnt on Saturday.
The students’ community also expects to hear Khan’s clear stance on Kashmir after he was subjected to criticism when his book printed a map showing occupied Kashmir as a part of India. On the other hand, PTI has assigned the task of bringing around 20,000 students to Minar-e-Pakistan to Insaf Students’ Federation in the Khan’s show of power against the Sharifs on Sunday.
Earlier, ISF’s campaign in various institutions of the city to invite students to the rally was successful as many vowed to show up to ‘save the country’. ISF also distributed banners and stickers of the Imran Khan among the youth and organised special transport for the students. ISF has strong roots in different elite education institutions including BNU, LUMS, Superior University, PU, University of Lahore, Hajvery University and other colleges.
Students at these institutions also protested in his favor when Khan was arrested during former dictator Pervaiz Musharraf’s regime. Earlier also when Khan was manhandled by the Islami-Jamiat-e-Taliba (IJT) activist at the PU, a strong reaction was seen from the students’ community, who not only condemned the IJT but also set up a wing of ISF in PU. A number of female students also joined ISF when Khan’s sisters were manhandled by the police in Barkat Market.
ISF has claimed that it has over 50,000 members which were recruited in various drives held over the last three years in institutions all over the city. “Over 30,000 students, including 2,000 females will attend Sunday’s rally,” Punjab ISF President Farukh Habib said, adding that ISF would show that the students support it since Imran Khan was the only one willing to take responsibility for the country.
Students expressed enthusiasm over the PTI’s rally and said they would turn up to show support for Khan. “Imran Khan is fighting for us and we will support him. We are sure that he will win this time,” said Ahad Awan, a Punjab University student, adding “my friends and I are taking over 200 people along tomorrow (Sunday),” he said. “We will see today (Sunday) what Imran Khan’s plan for the country is,” said Saira a student of Lahore College University.
“I would like to know what Imran Khan has to say about the controversial map in his book. I hope he clears his stance on Kashmir,” said Saba, another LCWU student. “The government tried to trap Imran Khan in the dengue case when his laboratory was charging a fair price. My family and I are going to attend his rally tomorrow (Sunday) with the hope that he will guide us out of the troubles that the country is facing,” said Khalil, another PU student.

Everybody is going there to show their support.. Time to free the Country from the hands of the Illiterates… The literates of the Country, who you so conveniently call the ‘YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ELITE SCHOOLS’ would show where the strength really lies now..
So its not about ‘Revealing Make or Break Strategy’… Wrongfully put…
In DHA thare is a great excitement for jalsa students are gathring from LUMS, LSE ….seems like a world cup match
its revolution time
if young youth want to see his future bright so should need to support Imran khan
INSHALLAH HE ILL
IK THE BEST
ALL SUPPORT FOR IK
i sport for you
I am a B.Com student. Its great to see such great support for Imran khan but the problem is that even half of these people are not going to vote for Imran khan.Out of 70000 people out there only 30000 gonna vote and how many of those gonna go to Tehreek-e-Insaaf that's what we don't know. Its sad but this is Pakistani politics. You buy votes. Will Imran Khan buy votes? I don't think so. But i see that people now at-least know who is right and who is wrong, who is dirty and who is clean? If i ever vote in the future i will go for PTI candidate and if i ever have to join a party i shall go for PTI. Because now the time for real change has come. And I believe Imran Khan with the support of the people of Pakistan will bring a positive change in this country. If Pakistani scientists can understand nuclear technology and can make this country a nuclear power then why the same people and managers cannot remove corruption and make this country a prosperous country. I liked Nawaz Shareef and PML-N but the same Nawaz Shareef when hugs Asif Ali Zardari and congratulates him on becoming the president then it hurts. When Zardari was elected the president i knew what is going to happen in the future. First Nawaz put that man on our heads and now he is saying Zardari is looting the country the question is did Nawaz not know what Zardari will do and the answer is he definitely knew this but the plan was lets first you do what you want and then give us a chance. I saw PML-N rally and their student federation. They were forcing our college students to go for the rally but we rejected them and they had to go with fewer students who were of the MSF.Its a shame they had to force people to go for the rally.
first u r saying that we reject PML(N) rally . second u r saying i saw rally PML(N).its strange but i request kindly don't criticise to PML(N) because MIAN SHAHBAZ SHAREEF is only single person who is leading by honestly kindly listen to his speech at rally recentely. but i pray for your success in B.COM.
plz do'nt participate any political party its my request for u if possible u accept.
May you live long
Well sorry brother but you did not take my point. When i said i saw PML (N) rally i meant through television but part of the rally started from our college too.Supporters from their student federation were forcing our college students to go for the rally but we said no thanks we are not interested and rejected their offer. Now one thing i would like to clear is that seeing a rally and participating in a rally are two different things. You can see a rally from anywhere through television, videos etc but participating in it is something different you have to have some sort of presence in order to say that i participated. We should also not judge a person like Shahbaaz Shareef just on him being a honest person. We want performance. He has all the powers in Punjab yet there are several problems which are strong enough to say he is not capable to tackle these problems.Look at the education department, health, security etc and the list goes on. PML (N) had their governments in past if they were so honest then why are we facing this day?
I am only scary and worried about the 80% illiterate rural masses of Pakistan. They are badly entrapped into the hands of their Biradri Chiefs, Sardars, Maliks, Zamindars, Waderas, Jagirdars and Sarmayadars. Even if they love Imran and even they wanted to vote of Imran, its very difficult for them to vote for Imran.
It is the duty and responsibility of the educated youngsters now to motivate those masses.
imran khan will bring the change , he's the !hero! of pakistan.
InshALLAH we will bring a positive change in Pakistan together with the help of Almighty ALLAH and our great leader Imran Khan..
he neither has a team nor a plan for his so called revolution
we r with u please come forward and kill the corrupt mafia of pakwatan
For the anti Imrans : Lets give him a chance.. Everybody is so sick and tired of trying the same old faces again and again , The same old faces who have looted this country like anything.
we are stand by you
imran khans a real joker only only only .fool person are with him to see his fun.jooker. mian sab are not only good but also best. imran shame
why does Mian sahibs not declare their assets SIMPLE
The biggest mistake of Nawaz Shareef is that he supported a thief named Asif Ali Zardari and On 9 March 2008 in a press conference held in Muree formed a coalition government with Asif Ali Zardari and later allowed his government to suck the blood of poor Pakistani people for more than 3 years and are still not in any mood to kick them out of the government .They are silently doing a crime for which we are not going to forgive them.Dear brother if we were in Norway,Denmark, Australia we might have ignored all this but look at our problems we are close to almost a collapse, look at our economy, education level, poverty, inflation etc .The situation is more than worse we cannot wait for any more corruption to happen and corruption is not just financial corruption what about the moral corruption. Also PML (N) showed zero performance in Punjab though they are in the government . What more do you want to reject a party?
i think pti should be given a chance
I request all the Youngster of Pakistan that they must add a message for Imran Khan on their Email: The Message could be: SAVE PAKISTAN – JOIN HANDS WITH IMRAN KHAN or VOTE FOR PAKISTAN – VOTE FOR IMRAN KHAN, or VOTE FOR CHANGE – JOIN THE HANDS OF IMRAN KHAN.
Our Energetic Youngster have now to play the most important and vital role to save Pakistan in the Leadership of Imran Khan. And remember that we MUST BRING THE CHANGE, but in Peaceful Manner.
