City’s murder count increases by 4

Four people were killed in different incidents across the metropolitan on Saturday. Two bodies were also found from separate parts of the city, whereas several students were injured in a clash at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST).
According to details, a youngster was sprayed with bullets in Khayaban-e-Shamsheer, Defence Housing Authority Phase-IV. Two motorcyclists opened fire on Riaz while he was on his way home. His body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Separately, two cousins Imran and Waseem were killed by firing of unidentified culprits in Ittehad Colony of Baldia Town.
The assailants opened fire on the cousins while they were on their way to the market. Their bodies were shifted to the JPMC. In another incident, Kamran was killed by unidentified culprits at Numaish Chowrangi. His body was shifted to the JPMC.
TWO BODIES FOUND: Police recovered two bodies from the areas of Sohrab Goth and Radio Pakistan. The deceased were tortured until death by unidentified culprits. The bodies were shifted to the JPMC, whereas the victims have yet to be identified.
PkSF-IJT CLASH: Several students suffered injuries in a clash between the Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) and the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) at FUUAST. Activists of both the student organisations used iron rods and stones during the attack on each other. PkSF spokesman said the IJT attacked his organisation and beat up three of its activists.
On the other hand, IJT spokesman said the PkSF created tension in the university and dozens of its activists attacked the IJT, resulting in seven of the latter’s activists suffering injuries.
RAID: Following a tip-off, police conducted a raid in Sachal Goth and arrested a drug smuggler with 12 kilogrammes of fine quality heroin worth approximately Rs 115 million.
