Woman burnt by husband dies

A 35-year-old woman, who was set ablaze allegedly by her husband, succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital in Nishtar Colony police precincts on Friday. The victim was identified as Riffat Bibi, resident of Youhanna Abad. Police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the accused.
A police official said the victim got married to Nazir around 10 years ago and they had four children. The couple had started quarreling with each other over the last few months and the woman had subsequently moved in with her parents. On the day of the incident, her husband came to his in-laws’ house with his mother and set his wife on fire after sprinkling kerosene oil over her.
