NAB seeking to shift PML-N’s MNA case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Friday filed an application in accountability court no IV, seeking time for filing another application in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for the transfer of two references filed against Member National Assembly (MNA) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former federal minister Rana Nazeer Ahmad, from court no IV to any other court.
It was submitted in an application filed by National Accountability Bureau that two references against MNA Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former federal minister Rana Nazeer Ahmad were pending in accountability court no IV, headed by Muhammad Shafi.
The application said the presiding officer of the court and accused Rana Nazeer Ahmad belonged to the same area (Kamoki) and the shared background could affect the transparency of the hearing. Accountability court no IV Judge Muhammad Shafi, upon receiving the application adjourned the hearing of the two references filed against Rana Tanveer Ahmad till November 12.
