An official of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), involved in Kurri land scam, was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday.
Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan heard the case. Advocate Amjad Iqbal Qureshi, counsel for the accused, contended that his client, Asghar Ali, was serving as admin officer land in the CDA while former director land Wasim Shamshad Ali allotted plots by amending the rules. He added that his client had no link with illegal allotments. He further told the court that an official inquiry was also conducted into the said case but nothing was found against his client.
After hearing the arguments, justice Riaz Ahmad Khan accepted the bail plea of the accused.
