Waugh praises Usman Khawaja

Former Australian batsman Mark Waugh believes that Pakistan-born cricketer Usman Khawaja is a very good player with a great technique and has got a big future. Twenty-four-year-old Khawaja heads to South Africa for the upcoming two-Test series having – after three matches – lost his spot in the top six largely through no fault of his own. “He got in the team pretty quickly to start with. A lot of blokes had to score a lot more runs than he did originally so I wouldn’t say he’s been harshly dealt with. It’s just the way it is at the moment. He’s a very good player, with a great technique and has got a big future. But at the moment, there’s only six batsmen that can fit in the team and unfortunately he’s just got to miss out at the moment,” newstrackindia.com quoted Waugh, as saying.
