Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarian Anjum Aqeel, who earlier made the headlines for his alleged involvement in the Rs 6 billion National Police Foundation (NPF) scam, has been again booked for allegedly occupying a piece of land.
The case was registered with Golra police station following an application by a retired police officer. In his application, retired SP Raja Ayub contended that he purchased a plot situated in the NPF from Anjum Aqeel and his two partners, Tahir Mahmood and Mansoor, on installments.
“During the installment period, the trio gave me the plot but on the completion of the installments, they reoccupied it,” Ayub said in his application. Golra police registered an FIR under Section 406/447 against parliamentarian and his two accomplices late on Wednesday. In the NPF land scam, Aqeel was accused of defrauding the people and the NPF. Currently, the PML-N MNA is on bail in the NPF land scam case.
