Some unidentified men shot dead two persons including Peace Committee chief Shahabuddin Burki on Wednesday. Police sources said that Shahabuddin was sitting in the house of a peace committee member in the Civil Lines area, when some unidentified men barged in and opened fire, killing Shahabuddin and a member of the peace committee on the spot. The killers managed to escape the crime scene. Police cordoned-off the area and started investigation into the incident.
