In an important session led by Senior Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdom Amin Fahim, a summary regarding the recommendations for regularising the contracted and daily-waged employees of Ministry of Commerce and its attached organisations has been sent to the concerned committee for approval. The senior minister has advised the officials to complete the concerned employees-list on a merit basis in order to avoid political influences and other personal interests. He also raised his serious concerns regarding some of the attached organizations for not playing their due role on efficient basis.
The said session was held on Tuesday night in which secretary commerce and other top officials of the ministry were present. When briefed about the project, the senior minister reaffirmed his resolve to continue making efforts in realising the slogan (Benazir aye gi; rozgar laye gi) of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He further maintained that before the last elections, Shaheed Mohtarma made a promise to the people of Pakistan regarding creating job opportunities and today we are making it a reality by regularising the contracted and daily-waged employees of our ministry. In the end, while talking to the representatives of the attached organizations the senior minister instructed them to also make a recommendations summary comprising of those contracted employees who are working in their respective organisations for at least one year or more, on immediate basis.
