JI chief Munawar Hasan on Wednesday slammed the govt for corruption and other issues including inflation in electricity and gas prices. Talking to reporters at the Qila Deedar Singh in Gujranwala, he said that the electricity tariff had been raised by Rs 3 a week ago and yet another increase of Rs 1.75 per unit was made recently. He blamed the price hike on the corruption within the government. Munawar alleged that $ 97 billion owned by Pakistanis was present in different Swiss banks, besides the deposits made in other countries.
He demanded President Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif bring their wealth to Pakistan. He also demanded the Election Commission ban the persons having wealth abroad from contesting in the elections.
