A three-member Supreme Court bench was informed on Wednesday that because the government was facing a shortage of funds, it would pay compensation to the heirs of missing persons on a monthly basis.
Appearing on notice, Additional Attorney General KK Agha presented a report before the bench headed by Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan over payment of compensation to the families of missing persons. He said the government had already paid the amount of compensation to most of the families but the remaining would get the compensation on a monthly basis.
