Advisor to Prime Minister on National Harmony, Dr Paul Bhatti on Wednesday greeted the country on the eve of Diwali saying the festival of lights strengthened the country’s resolve to follow true ethical values in our lives. “It brings peace, prosperity, progress and happiness to all sections of society and promotes goodwill among all communities,” Bhatti said. In his greetings, Dr Paul said, “may the festival of lights dispel darkness and gloom and bring joy, happiness and prosperity to the people of our country.”
He said the festival signified the victory of good over evil and the spreading of the light of learning. “May the noble ideals of the festival usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives,” he said. He said it was a festival in which all communities rejoiced in amity and friendship and celebrated the solidarity of the nation.
