17th round of fumigation campaign starts today

The City District Government Karachi (CDGK)’s Health Department, in collaboration with town administrations, will launch the 17th round of fumigation campaign in the city today (Thursday). The round will last till November 5 during which two towns will be covered daily.The campaign will start from Jamshed and Gulshan-e-Iqbal towns and end in Malir and Shah Faisal towns. The city government’s Health Department has appealed to citizens to register their complaints on 1339 so that immediate action could be taken for ensuring fumigation in their area.
REMOVAL OF DEBRIS: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Roshan Ali Shaikh directed town administrators on Wednesday to take immediate measures for removing construction material and debris from various places in the city. The DCO instructed administrators to issue notices to constructors for the removal of construction material from roads, pavements and the streets of the city and challan the violators. He also directed them to take action against illegal cattle markets and stalls selling fodder on roads or pavements.
