The city police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 14 outlaws including seven women from various areas of the city and recovered stolen items, 15 wine bottles and a pistol from their possession. According to a press release, Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Rafi Ullah from Bhara Kau Police Station arrested two thieves identified as Mansoor Akhtar and Shabran and recovered stolen items worth thousands of rupees.
ASI Muhammad Yousuf from Margallah Police Station arrested two defrauders identified as Sarfaraz Ahmed and Temur Hussain while ASI Javed Iqbal from Shalimar police nabbed Malik Zahid for having 15 wine bottles in his car.
The press release further stated that Sub-Inspector Ajmal Khan from Tarnol Police Station apprehended Aftab Hussain Shah for possessing a 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Rasheed Ahmed from Shalimar police nabbed Zahid Iqbal. Police also arrested seven women for their alleged involvement in illegal activities and the sex trade.
