Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Tuesday alleged that the PML-Nawaz had surpassed all previous records of rigging in elections. They were speaking after awarding party ticket to Chaudhry Ehsan ul Haq for Punjab Assembly’s seat PP-275 for the upcoming by election. They told their party workers to “frustrate PML-N’s rigging plans for the polls”.
Pervez Elahi said the Nawaz-led party had always duped people by not keeping its promises. He said the PML-N had not launched any mega project in Punjab since 2008. He also criticised the Punjab government over discrepancies in the Intermediate results and the ensuing protests. Chaudhry Mashud Nasir, PML-Q’s former ticket holder for the same constituency, assured Haq of his support during the election campaign.
