Muslim Model School and Kila Lakshman School qualified for the final of the Lahore Gymkhana School T20 Tournament here on Tuesday.
In the first semifinal, Mulsim Model beat Central Model by 86 runs at the Lahore Gymkhana ground. Muslim Model made 169 for seven. Kamran Afzal (55) and Chand Ali (48) were the prominent scorers for Muslim Model. Central Model’s Raza Ali took three wickets for 29 runs. In reply, Central Model were bowled out for 81 runs. Muhammad Ali scored 20 runs while Adnan made 10 runs. Ibrahim grabbed three wickets for 18 runs while Kamran Afzal took two wickets for six runs and was also declared the man of the match.
In the second semifinal, Kila Lakshamn Singh beat Aitchison by four wickets. Batting first, Aitchison were bowled out for 107 runs. Rafe Rafiq scored 28 runs while Babar Shah made 20 runs. Shabir grabbed four wickets for 24 runs while Waseem Khan took two wickets for 12 runs. In reply, Kila Lakshman School achieved the target of 108 runs for the loss of six wickets. Waseem Khan (30), Murrad (23) and Farhan Shafiq (20) were the prominent scorers for Kila Lakshman. Hamza Atif and Shehroz took two wickets each. Shabir was named the man of the match award.
