Hira Valves, Newage and Adisseo won their matches on the opening day of the Novices Polo Cup 2011 at the LPC ground on Tuesday. Hira Valves drew first blood against Nurpur by 5-3 in the four chukker match and then in two chukker matches between Guard Rice, Newage and Adisseo, Newage won both of their matches. Newage defeated Guard Rice by 5-2 and Adiesso by 3-1 respectively. Later, Adiesso beat Guard Rice by 4-2. Guard Rice did not win a single match. Bilal Haye, Samee Ibrahim, Omar Asjad Malhi and Mian Hussain Iftikhar were the umpires Umpires for the matches.
