Gaddafi sodomised before death?

Amid mounting questions about just how and when Muammar Gaddafi died, an analysis of video footage suggested a Libyan fighter sodomised the former Libyan strongman after he was captured near his hometown of Sirte, GlobalPost said in a report on Tuesday.
A frame by frame analysis of an exclusive GlobalPost video clearly shows the rebel trying to insert some kind of stick or knife into Gaddafi’s rear end, said the report.
Tracey Shelton, a correspondent at GlobalPost, said there was some question as to whether the instrument was a knife from the end of a gun, which Libyans call a ‘Bicketti’, or a utility tool known as a Becker Knife and Tool, which is popularly known as a BKT.
This latest video discovery comes as international and human rights groups call for a formal investigation into how the former Libyan leader was killed. In video clips that have emerged of his capture, Gaddafi can be seen injured but alive. Later he is seen with what appears to be gunshot wounds to his head and chest. According to the Geneva Conventions, however, abuse of prisoners under any circumstance is not permissible.

    • i hope by 'all" you dont mean Muslims, because that would be a very discriminatory thing to say…

      • No, "all " does not equal "Muslims". Are you illiterate, thick as two planks, or a provocateur fabricating evidence of prejudice against Islam?

  1. So this is the state of the Muslims They now abuse another Muslims Body. This is disgusting Libiya will get what they deserve for these Horrid Acts.

    • Rubbish, that kind of behavior occurs in every war zone (think also of Sri Lanka and the Congo). Muslims and Christians didn't start it 1000 years ago, either. That's just mankind at its worst, and it's not likely to change any time soon because usually such acts go unpunished.

      • Sodomy and rape is a more numerous by-product of war than death. It is a war-crime , but not the first time someone has been violated during war. This act cannot be blamed on race , ethnicity or religion but on the egregious mentality of violence .

  2. I feel ashamed to be a Muslim now, just look at the life of our holy prophet he was so forgiving with his enemies. I hope who did this to Qaddafi they and their generations to come will burn in hell

  3. Your analysis shows you to be a VERY ignorant and bigoted individual. Have you even bothered to read the Quran and the Hadith Collection, the two fundamentals of Islam? Please don`t pass judgments based on what is projected by the media, because they have their own dictated agendas and sensationalism. Get one thing straight, it is NOT the religion at fault, but SOME of its practitioners (a relative minority). Do you even know how many tolerant, broad minded, liberal and progressive muslims exist in the world today?

  4. America and Britain are to blame, they are only democrats when it suits them. Remember the torture chambers in Long Kesh, Northern Ireland and guantanamo bay. They are every bit as evil as Gaddafi. Everyone is entitled to a fair trial. We are supposed to be democratics – Gaddafi never claimed to be one so why do we judge him by our standards. Remember that Bob Dylan song lyric – dont criticise what you cant understand. What has happened to humanity!!!!

    • Logic isn't your strong subject, either, is it? America & Britain may well be as bad as Gaddafi, as you say. However:

      1. It is a non sequitur to conclude "America and Britain are to blame".

      2. This topic isn't even about Gaddafi's behaviour, it's to do with his treatment AS a prisoner.

      3. If you can't understand how man sinks to despicable acts, that's your fault and it's plain lazy to bring in a sloppy song lyric as a cop-out.

  5. When you think of all the torture he inflicted over his 40 year reign ….. and the systematic rapes …. if you live by the sword and die by the sword!!

  6. I can only imagine how much worse things might be in these countries if these savages didn’t have the Quran to guide them. And I am speaking as a westerner that has read the Quran and is an atheist.

    • I'm not at all sure your comment makes any sense.

Christianity managed to commit a lot of butchery during the Crusades and numerous times since with Native Americans, Bushmen, Australian Aboriginals, plus a whole load of bloodletting in Europe culminating in two World Wars.

Islam did its fair share of butchery during its spread across the world, and continues to inspire a considerable amount of terrorism from London to the Middle East to South-East Asia. Its "peaceful" reputation was earned largely during the aftermath of conquests. And even today "apostasy" is a capital offence!

Perhaps Buddhism is the only main world religion largely to have avoided sensational atrocities.

It seems to be the case that with or without religion or some other belief system we have a very nasty side that is easily unleashed in times of stress. You have only to watch the behaviour of mobs to see how quickly things get out of control, even without agitators to help things along.

And nearly every week we read of unspeakable torture and murder, in our own country and anywhere else in the world you care to think of.

      What hope, then?

      • I think you are confusing the actions of men with their religious instructions. People will often use some trumped up excuse to justify their actions to their religion/God. These animal rebels (who are no better than Gaddafi) were not acting in the name of Islam. The argument is simple, without Islam in these countries I say more and greater atrocities would have occurred. Does this make sense?

(I am not saying things in these countries would not be better with a different religion, but seriously even with total religious freedom could you see Buddhism taking hold anywhere in the Middle East? With religion as with many things it’s horses for courses).

        • why couldn't it? Buddhism had a huge following in this part of the world once upon a time.

People are people, don't forget that. If you think you are better than someone based on geography excuse me but that is the definition of racism.

  7. “Remember that Bob Dylan song lyric – dont criticise what you cant understand.”

It is clear that we understand it all too well. Well said khaosoi.

  8. What the hell is happening on earth? The NTC has portrayed infidility more than the people they succeded to the entire world. I pray that they change from their current position and start thinking normaly or else Libya will never be the same for another 100 years. May Allah guide them in the right path.

  9. of course the coalition forces in I'raq or Afghanistan or any where on the globe, are exempt from all these mission hindering frivolities.
there a totally new and different lingo comes into play.
Ghadafi the scum bag is mercifully behind us, he should have been treated better and made to stand trial for his crimes.
But, no thanx, the western media doesn't have the moral authority to lecture anyone on this score.

  10. dont take it out on the british public , we are discustid with all this also ,it is our governments ,not us , ….well done cameron yet another reason for the world to hate us , …cheers government ,…soon we will have nowere to take our children on holiday in the whole world or show them the cultures of the world cos it will be to dangerous for us cos you governments are just making enermies for us public and we suffer not you …

  11. My 2009 novel SHAIKH-DOWN anticipated an ‘Arab Spring’ in an island much like Bahrain. At the end I predicted that Gaddafi would be castrated by his female bodyguards – not too wide of the mark! Will my other predictions come true? Mass beheadings of the Saudi royals? An explosion in the UAE council of Ministers? The destruction of Jerusalem and Mecca as the Arab Spring turns to Nuclear Winter?
