The petition of Allah Buksh Gondal would be heard by the bench comprising Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh. The bench would proceed with matters upon the return of Justice Ijaz to the Principal seat, Lahore, from the Rawalpindi Bench.
MEDICAL COLLEGES ENTRY TEST CASE: The Lahore High Court Tuesday adjourned to October 26 further hearing of a case against the entry test for admission to medical colleges, while observing that the court would link announcement of the entry test result with the final decision of the court on this petition. The counsel for the University Health Sciences (UHS) sought time to file reply to the petition and the court granted this request, observing that if the needful was not done by the next date of hearing, the court could lay the condition to restrain announcement of the test result till the final decision on the petition. On the last date of hearing the court had ordered UHS, PMDC and others file reply, for which October 24 has now been fixed.
