Karachi and Saint Petersburg, a federal city of the Russian Federation, would soon be declared ‘sister cities’, said a senior City District Government Karachi (CDGK) official on Tuesday. The official said CDGK Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has left for Russia to sign a ‘Sister City Agreement’ with the host country. During his visit, Syed would also discuss extensively the road show planned to be held in different cities of the Russian Federation, the official added. He said the administrator would return home on October 28, and District Coordination Officer Roshan Ali Sheikh would assume responsibility in his absence and deal with the work of emergency nature.
