Killings return to haunt Karachi

After an interval of peace, Karachi has started bleeding again as at least four people were kidnapped and later on killed in the metropolis, media reported on Tuesday.
Two bodies were recovered from Surjani Town area of Hasan Brohi Goth Tuesday morning. Both of them were abducted and tortured to death, reports said.
Another body, wrapped up in a gunnysack, was recovered near FTC Bridge. According to police sources, the deceased was kidnapped, tortured, and then gunned down.
Earlier, two men including Mulla Raju, the main accused in Shershah tragedy and Lyari gang war, were shot dead in Korangi’s Chakra Goth. Subsequently, police conducted house to house search in Korangi-1 and arrested 53 people.
Meanwhile, police arrested a miscreant Noman alias Nomi near Matric Board Office in North Nazimabad and seized three repeaters and bullets from his possession. According to the North Nazimabad Police Station SHO Asim Siddiqui, police was in a look out for Noamn due to his involvement in several grim criminal activities.
