Kohsar police arrested three criminals for their alleged involvement in stealing mobile phones and other valuables from the house of a French diplomat in sector F-7/4, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. According to details, unidentified persons barged in the house of Third secretary of French embassy, Claude, in his absence and took away mobile phones and valuables worth thousands of rupees.
The spokesman said following the complaint from the diplomat, City police Superintendent Muhammad Ilyas constituted a special team under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Fiaz Tanoli, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mian Khuram and others. The said team started the investigation and succeeded in arresting three people identified as Riaz, Hanif and Zawar Khan from Mansehra. Police also recovered the stolen items including mobile phones from their possession and further investigation is underway.
