Armed attack in Korangi leaves two dead

Two men were killed on Monday evening when four culprits opened fire on the private guard of a police sub-inspector in Korangi, said the Zaman Town police. Police said four motorcyclists opened fire on Sub-Inspector Ashiq Khoso’s private guard-cum-driver, Muttahir, near Chakra Goth in Korangi No 1, which resulted in the deaths of a tea-shop waiter and a passer-by. The teenage waiter was identified as Ali Raza Phulpoto, whereas the identity of the passer-by could not be ascertained until the filing of this report. Police said Muttahir, who was targeted over personal enmity, suffered serious bullet wounds and was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Centre (JPMC).
