The dead body of a minor was found in an open hole near Islamic University on Monday. Muhammad Abdullah, 11, was a student of FG Primary School G/8-4b who went missing on October 21st from sector H/11 of the federal capital. The body of the child was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) by the Industrial Area police. Talking to Pakistan Today, Sajid Mahmood, father of the deceased, said he had hired a private pick and drop service for his child and on Friday after the closing of school, the driver parked his vehicle in sector H/11 for a short period to offer his Jummah prayer.
“At about 4 pm the driver, Muhammad Riaz, called us and asked us about Abdullah,” he said. “Our son did not return home after which we filed an FIR with the sector I/9 police,” he added. He said that they tried their best to find their son but to no avail. “After trying every tactic, we thought to check the manholes of the area,” said Sajid. He said that with the help of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and 1,122 vehicles they found the body of his son. He made it clear that it was difficult to attribute the incident to anyone. “Police will decide anything after thorough investigation,” he said.
