The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) took out an anti-US protest rally on Sunday, rejecting drone attacks and the US threats to Pakistan. Led by former JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad, the rally was taken out from Al-Markaz-e-Islami to the Ring Road Bridge, Peshawar. The protesters held placards and chanted slogans against the US policies and condemned violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty by the US. Qazi Hussain Ahmad warned the US against any misadventure in Pakistan, adding that Jihad would be declared against the US if Pakistan was attacked. He said that US Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton was conveying the same message to Pakistan as Mike Mullen had done but in a more diplomatic manner, adding that US wants to compel Pakistan to carry out military operation in the North Waziristan Agency against its own people. He urged the government to implement the All-Parties Conference (APC) resolution at the earliest.
