Great Adla secures surprise win at Race Club

Great Adla stunned all the favourites and finished ahead of Large Ward and Dancing Doll in the Horse Race at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday. Interestingly, last week Adla came third behind Blazing Speed and Izza. No one was expecting Shaheen Butt’s Adla would do such wonders of winning the race but it came from nowhere to be among the top. In Sunday’s races, Hang Ten Cup was the main race of the day and Carman was the winner while Bonewag and Pretty rain came second and third. Large Ward was the winner of the first race while Dancing Doll was second and Angel was third.
Spirit won the second race while Guru Baba was second and Morning Glory was third. Little Boy won the third race while Lucky Sahua was second and Pearl Queen was third. Rehan Love won the next race with Poma Dynasty and Lucky Gray following it for other places. Meanwhile, in the elections of Lahore Race Club on Sunday the previous body members led by Tariq Aziz as chairman retained their positions. Hamid Ali Noon was vice chairman and similarly all the stewards remain the same with just one change of Kh Arif who resigned and was replaced by Azmat Ali Ranja.
