Three different kinds of fish, released in pools to kill dengue have been stolen.
This was revealed at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who directed the ministry concerned to release more fish in ponds and brief locals about their benefits.
Acting on the advice of Sri Lankan medical experts, three kinds of fish were released in different ponds of Lahore to kill the dengue. However, these fishes were stolen hardly one month after being released in ponds.
All possible means are being adopted by the provincial government to reign in the mosquito-borne diseases.

  1. These types of fish must also see way to enter water tanks of Raiwind and specially in CM house and secretariats.

  2. 1. Releasing fish into the ponds had to be the craziest idea yet. Don't these people think???When those fish would have died, the rot /filth/decay that they never would have been able to clean in time (if ever) in all those public ponds would have caused more serious diseases. The thieves in this case SADLY may be our saving grace.
    2. Why do we drag our poor religion into everything? How about trying to be better people for starters…
