Two personnel of Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) were killed in an attack at Chamalung coal field in Loralai district, around 320 kilometers North-East of Quetta on Sunday. The banned Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to reports, the FC personnel were returning after fetching water for the forces when unidentified armed men ambushed, killing both of them. Baloch Liberation Army Spokesman Azad Baloch called newspaper offices and claimed the responsibility for the attack.
However a Balochistan Frontier Corps spokesman, on the condition of anonymity, said that the two men, who were killed in the attack, were from the Marri force and not FC. A person was killed and another wounded in two separate incidents in Quetta on Sunday.
