Punjab opp resolution asks govt to hold LB polls

LAHORE – Oppostion legislators have submitted a requisition in Punjab Assembly through which provincial government has asked to hold local government elections in the province. According to the details available, the Pakistan Muslim League lawmakers Samina Khawar Hayat submitted a requisition with the assembly secretariat in which it has been demanded of Punjab Government to hold Local Body elections immediately.
They have opted the view point that in the case of local government system, epidemics like Dengue could not spread easily. The PML-Q sources further sad that in the requisition, it has been pleaded that owing to absence of local government representatives and districts neither any development could be carried out properly nor the masses could be served in a good manner.
