Nasir Iqbal, Shoaib Hassan, Tayyab Aslam and Saqib Yousuf after having tough and pressing encounters made it to the semi-finals of Punjab National Open Squash Championship here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Sunday. In the ladies category, Zoya Khalid, Amna Latif , Sadia Gul and Rushna Mehboob moved to the semi-final with ease. Although all the matches were played narrowly but Nasir Iqbal had to go all the way to in his 79 minutes match to come from behind several times to win the match. Another interesting match of the day was between Tayyab Aslam and Ammad Fareed. Though the score speak in favour of Tayyab but the match lasted for 65 minutes in which fortunes changed several times. All the semi-final of ladies and men will be played today (October 24) with the first match starting at 1500 hours and the second at 1545 hours.
