Higher Education Secretary Dr Ijaz Muneer said dengue mosquito was a special kind of mosquito that bites in the day time, while addressing students at WISE College on Friday. He said the dengue mosquito bred in clean water. In response to a question, he said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his team were striving to cope with this menace. Dengue was not fatal but we needed to take necessary precautionary measures, he added. He said dengue was not exclusive to Pakistan and the disease had afflicted other countries as well. Muneer said we needed to keep our surroundings clean to prevent ourselves from dengue.
